The ANPA 26th Annual Convention
The ANPA 26th Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly features three full-day meetings, providing participants’ knowledge related to the challenges facing minority health care providers in the provision of clinical and therapeutic services for diseases and conditions related to a variety of medical specialties. Collaboration is defined as a joint communication and decision-making process with the goal of satisfying the health care needs of a target population. The basis of collaboration is the belief that quality patient care is achieved by the contribution of all care providers. Team members determine the team’s mission and common goals: work interdependently to define and treat patient problems; and learn to accept and capitalize on disciplinary differences, differential power and overlapping roles.
ANPA MID-TN
ANPA Mid-TN is the main association of Nigerian healthcare providers in Tennessee. We serve as the primary network of Nigerian healthcare providers in the state of Tennessee. We are part of the national group, THE ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN PHYSICIANS IN THE AMERICAS (ANPA) which includes over 4000 physicians. Our goal locally is to foster personal and professional growth of our members, and encourage the development of practical solutions to Nigerian healthcare problems. We are also an organization based on volunteerism and community outreach. Our national motto is “a healthier Nigeria for a healthier World.”
Our members includes physicians, dentists, podiatrists, pharmacists, nurses, physician assistants, medical students, as well as healthcare business owners.
